Ultimate Products has boosted its turnover with the acquisition of the well known luggage brand, Constellation. The deal, is expected to boost Ultimate Products’ current turnover by £10m. Constellation was established in 1962 and sells luggage and associated products to retailers such as Argos, Dunnes, Sainsbury’s, TJ Hughes and Mackays and employing 30 staff. The story of how constellation was born goes back in 1945 when Jack, Pinky and David were brought to England as orphans and sent to families in Manchester. The 15 year old boys, determined to make the most of their freedom formed a pact “lets go as far as we can go…”. They called their small venture Japinda and by the early 1950’s the boys had started to manufacture affordable family luggage.Today the Constellation brand still stands for quality, durability and exceptional design.
